Who this is for
What’s included
Medications we may use include:
Mainly Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) however we are happy to review any of the other weightloss medications if you think this may be more beneficial to you. Mounjaro is a prescription injection that help reduce appetite and improve fullness when combined with lifestyle changes. Your clinician will confirm what’s suitable for you.
Weight loss is personal, so your plan is shaped around your goals, health history and routine. We’ll agree simple first steps, set realistic targets and choose an approach that fits your life. Treatment may include prescription weight-loss medicines (if suitable), clear nutrition guidance, activity you can keep up, and support for sleep and stress. Reviews are built in to adjust doses, tackle side effects, and fine-tune food and movement so progress is steady and sustainable.

Private Weight Loss Clinic Newcastle – FAQ
Not all questions fit on a page. If you’re unsure which option is right for you, contact the IDOS team and we’ll recommend the safest next step.
If you are in the UK and have urgent or emergency symptoms use NHS 111 or call 999.
Adults with BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition (e.g., hypertension) may be eligible after a GP assessment. Suitability depends on medical history, medicines and blood results.
We may prescribe semaglutide (Wegovy®) or tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) as part of a wider plan. These weekly injections help you feel satisfied with less food and are most effective alongside nutrition and lifestyle changes. We’ll explain how they work and train you to use them safely.
Results vary, but many people achieve clinically meaningful weight loss when medicines are combined with our structured programme and monthly reviews. We focus on safe loss, improved health markers (such as blood pressure and HbA1c), and habits you can sustain.
Common effects include nausea, fullness, indigestion or constipation. These are usually manageable with dose-titration, food tweaks and timing advice. We’ll monitor you closely and adjust the plan as needed. Tell us promptly about any symptoms so we can support you.
You can still benefit from medical, nutrition and counselling support. Your GP will outline non-injection options, set targets and provide regular reviews so you remain fully supported.
The longer than 6 months programme provides maintenance with continued GP follow-ups, targeted check-ins with the nutritionist, and scheduled blood tests. Together we’ll agree how to step down treatment and protect your progress long-term.
