Please note, we are not a specialist sexual health service. We can screen for sexual health infections and treat common sexual health infections, but we are unable to treat warts and herpes and may have to suggest that you are seen at a sexual health clinic. We will however provide you with a referral letter.

A short, private consultation to understand symptoms and risks, followed by the right tests for you. Typical options include urine or swabs for chlamydia and gonorrhoea, a small blood sample for HIV and syphilis, and additional tests when indicated. If treatment is suitable on the day, we will explain benefits and risks in plain English and start promptly. You will leave knowing how and when results will arrive and who to contact with questions.
You may need to have some tests completed, so we would advise you to avoid urinating for one hour before your appointment. Do not use vaginal creams or douches on the day of a swab. Bring a list of medicines and allergies, the date of any recent antibiotics, and the approximate date and type of any potential exposure. If you prefer a chaperone, let us know when booking.
Results are shared confidentially with clear next steps. If treatment is given, we will explain how to take it, what to expect and when to abstain from sex. Where partner notification is recommended, we will support you with simple, discreet options. If specialist input is needed, we will arrange referral and keep your plan joined up.
