Private ADHD Assessment Newcastle
Timely, joined-up assessment and treatment for adults and young people who may have ADHD. We streamline the journey from first appointment to a clear plan, so you know what’s happening now, and what happens next.
A focused pathway run by IDOS brings everything together. You’ll have an expert assessment, a plain-English explanation of the findings, and an agreed plan that can include medication, practical strategies and psychological support. Where ongoing prescribing is appropriate, we’ll arrange this via shared care with your usual GP (if suitable) or through our in-house IDOS GP, creating a fully integrated service.
Who it is for: Adults who suspect ADHD or want a thorough review of existing diagnoses; people needing a faster, structured pathway; and those seeking joined-up ongoing care with practical, real-world supports.
ADHD shows up differently for everyone, so your plan is built around your goals, strengths and day-to-day realities. We’ll agree clear priorities (focus, organisation, emotional regulation, sleep), choose the simplest next steps, and set an easy way to track progress. Treatment may include careful medication titration (if appropriate), practical tools for time and task management, sleep and stress strategies, and therapy options. Reviews are built in so we can tune doses, swap formats if needed, and keep the plan realistic for busy weeks as well as good days.
You’ll meet a clinician experienced in adult ADHD for a structured consultation. We’ll explore current symptoms and strengths, childhood history (if available), and the impact on work, study and home life. Standardised questionnaires are used to support a careful diagnosis. With your consent we may review collateral information (for example from a partner or employer). You’ll leave with a written summary and a clear plan to follow.
(If you don’t have early life information, don’t worry as we can still proceed and discuss alternatives.)
If ADHD is diagnosed, we’ll discuss options and agree next steps:
If ADHD is not confirmed, you’ll still receive clear feedback and a plan for what will help next.
